Meet Ida
Behind every pastel is Ida J Espada, the heart of Pasteles Taino. For more than 15 years, she has dedicated herself to making Puerto Rican pasteles by hand, using natural ingredients and honoring the traditions that make them special.
She personally prepares and cooks every batch. No shortcuts — just patience, love, and pride in doing it the traditional abuela way.
